Making Sketchbooks

Class X04 has been hard at work creating sketchbooks, notebooks, and other crafts for their upcoming fundraiser to help refugees. Students studied a variety of different bookmaking techniques and are creating books in multiple styles using their ebru prints and action paintings as decorative covers.

Students glue small pieces of prints and paintings to the covers of their post-it notebooks.

Scraps left from larger decorative papers are then collaged and laminated as bookmarks.

Notebooks and mini-notebooks are created by counting and measuring paper and then collated and put together using a simple staple binding. Each book cover is then decorated and a special label, created by Anthony, is placed on the back.
